Abelia x grandiflora is a graceful arching shrub that you will find in a number of locations around the Arboretum. The leaves are a glossy dark green, and unlike many shrubs that bloom in the spring, this shrub is in bloom right now.
The white and pink tinged blooms make it a perfect specimen shrub or in a mixed border with other plantings. You can easily find Abelia in the atrium to the right of the entry to the Medford Campus Community Building-or you can see it from the windows of the Maple Room. On the Medford Campus, other Abelia shrubs can be found in Courts 15 and 4.
