Known as the harbinger of spring, the Eastern Redbud tree’s delicate blossoms and buds offer one of the season’s most dramatic displays. As the leaves come into formation, they emerge in a reddish color in a unique heart-shape. In the fall, brownish colored seed pods remain on the tree through the winter. And not to forget, this tree often provides a nesting site and materials for our feathered friends. You can find examples of these trees in the Medford Campus Community Building parking lot, as well as Court 3.
